Can we even imagine a situation where defence personal's would be asked to retire/withdraw from services without turn with the justification that new young people would be recruited in their place???
While fresh recruitments are very much needed but senior serving officers have their own importance because of the years of experience and hard work they have put in.
Basically new recruits, though having their own importance, cannot be looked upon as the one to compensate the senior one's. In fact both are complimentary to one another and the armed forces. Both are equally important for the safety and future of the nation.
Same argument may be held correct when the logic of planting new trees is given while cutting old one's!! Both new and old trees compliment one another and also to the environment!! Again both are equally important for the survival of the mankind.
Similary different skills, temperament and approach is required in all 3 armed forces and transferring one personnel all of a sudden to another branch of the force may not yield the desired results.
Same logic may be applicable for trees!! Hope the above interpretation is worth pondering.....
