Letter to Principle Secretary, Department Of Education, Maharashtra

To

         Date: 24/01/2017
The Principle Secretary
Higher and Technical Education Department
Mumbai.
Subject: Mandatory Requirement of Domicile Certificate

Sir,
Regards. I am Amit Girdhar Heda from Nagpur. I had filed an online RTI regarding requirement of Domicile Certificate which has not been responded and clarified till date. Sir, students securing admission to LLB course (after clearing the Entrance examination conducted by DTE) are required to submit domicile certificate. While this may be justified for those students who are not from the state of Maharashtra. However students, who have been born, educated and are residents of the state of Maharashtra, having all the requisite documents to prove their domicality are also asked to submit domicile certificate.
Sir, this requirement puts the students to unnecessary hardships, both mentally and economically as it is very tough to source domicile certificate without availing the services of unauthorized and gullible agents who exploit the helpless students. I am sure; students securing admission in other streams also may be facing similar problems. I tried to communicate with the education department, mantralaya where I was told that such rules are framed “generally” & was advised to bring the matter to your kind notice.

Sir, request you to kindly look in the matter sympathetically so as to give relief to the students who are citizens of Maharashtra State & possess the relevant documents to prove the same.

Regards,

Amit Heda.

Letter to Hon Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitleyji

 To

Subject:  Unregulated market of Mobile Accessories
Sir,
Warm Regards. At the outset let me congratulate you for the daring & bold step of demonetization. I am sure that it will give the desired result and wipe out black money to a large extent in our economy. Sir, emboldened by this master stroke step executed by your kind self along with your able team under the dynamic leadership of our Hon. Prime Minister; I wish to bring a very pertinent issue to your notice. Sir, Mobile accessories market is worth around Rs 6000 crores in India (Source Economic times) & is expected to grow by 15-20% every year. The accessories market can easily be twice or even thrice that of smart phones since a customer would typically buy at least two accessory for a phone. However both domestic and foreign mobile accessory companies face tough competition from unbranded products, especially the ones imported from China. Due to large number of mobile accessory manufacturers in China, huge amounts of Chinese products are easily available in the grey markets and local stores. A significant number of consumers find these easily available accessories affordable and attractive. Such accessories are mostly available in grey market without MRP & without bill. Sir, the margins for accessories in grey markets are between 30% and 60%, depending on the accessory, higher than phones that offer about 10%,” However in the absence of MRP there is no regulation in terms of price and also quality of such accessories. The helpless consumer feels cheated primarily as there is no fixed price, no assurance of quality and of course no recourse or remedy in the absence of bill. Furthermore there is a huge loss of revenue to the government as these sales figures are mostly unaccounted.
Sir, besides fishing out black money out of our economy, Consumer Protection is also one of the top most priorities of the government under the visionary leadership of our Hon. Prime Minister.  May I request you to kindly look into the matter so as to bring transparency and accountability as the mobile accessory market is expected to grow hugely in terms of volume & revenue?
Thanking You,
Regards,
Amit Girdhar Heda.

My letter to Hon Police Commissioner

Subject: Compulsory Character Certificate/Verification of Security Guards.
Sir,
At the foremost let me Congratulate you for the various initiatives taken by the Police Department concerning the safety, security of the citizens and also the measures taken with regards to the traffic control & regulation.
Sir, majority of the Apartment as well as Independent house owners, nowadays avail the services of Security Agencies round the clock. These Security Agencies and their guards are well aware of all the activities, movements and minor details of those who avail their services. In other words they are in a position to monitor (to a large extent) the movements of their employers. This requires that such security agencies as well as the guards employed by them should be verified beforehand with respect to their background and character. Unfortunately this is not in practice right now. Senior citizens living alone, nuclear families that form a large portion of the city’s population can be easy targets in case persons of doubtful or shoddy character are employed as security guards.

Sir, we would appreciate if you can kindly take steps to ensure that proper verification and/or submission of Character Certificate becomes mandatory and failure to comply with these measures no one should be permitted to be enrolled/employed as a security guard. This, we feel, will be quite helpful to keep a check on crimes, as information about the whereabouts of employers (Apartment & independent house owners) and their activities would be in trusted hands to a large extent.

Regards,

Amit Girdhar Heda
